I chose to do the Public Services BTEC course because it offered me a lot of opportunity to learn and study more about all the public services. As I have gone through the course I have developed a greater sense of communication and teamwork skills. This has helped me with my confidence and personal skills like organisation and discipline. As the course offers trips, residentials and educational visits you can get a better insight into the public services, so you don't just get focused on joining one instead you get to get a taste for all the others. When I first joined the course I really wanted to join the fire service but as the course has gone on I have decided to either join the Royal Marine Commandoes or the British Army. The reason for this is because it offers me a greater physical and mental challenge and I would not have realised this if I had not done the course. The course has proved to be very beneficial to me as it has helped me in choosing my career within the public services and developed my team and personal skills which are key in any future career. |
