Student taking on 100km South Coast Challenge

Second year student, Angus Harker, is taking part in the South Coast Challenge walking from Eastbourne to Arundel (100KM – 62 miles) on 31st August 2019 to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. He aims to walk continuously, and complete the walk within 24 hours which would be a tremendous achievement.

Angus says: !I have realised that I’ve been extremely lucky due to the goodwill of those around me that I want to pay it forward, and see how much I can push myself to do it.”

Angus is training three times a week and attempting to run 5 kilometres twice a week in preparation for the challenge. He is also studying for his forthcoming A Level examinations, after which he will extend his training to include long walks and walking at night to acclimatise himself to night walking.
