Teacher of Biology / Head of Department (Full-time)
We wish to appoint a well-qualified, innovative and inspirational teacher of Biology from 26th August 2025. The successful person will teach A level biology and potentially the new AAQ human biology course, Applicants should also be interested in the possibility of doing workshops and extra/supra-curricular biology activities.
There is also an opportunity for Head of Department/Subject Lead for the right person.
Heads of department play a key role within the College Management structure, ensuring effective leadership within the department and overseeing student success. Training and support will be provided to someone who is new to a leadership position.

Teacher of Sport (Full-time or substantial part-time)
A well-qualified, innovative and motivated, full-time/substantial part-time teacher is required to join the successful Sport Department from 26th August 2025. It would be desirable if the appointed person held a coaching certificate in football.
Applications will be most welcome from both experienced teachers of 16-19 education and those newly qualified. Training and support will be offered to allow the development of ECTs during their early career, together with a validated scheme for those preparing for ECT induction. They will receive their own personal mentor as well as a subject specialist mentor to help further develop their skills and experience. The College’s ‘Teaching and Learning Group’ will also provide opportunities to develop their teaching strategies through the sharing of good practice and observation of the lessons of experienced practitioners.
It is hoped to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated teachers who would want to contribute to the future success of the department and be fully involved in the delivery of courses for the 16-19 age group. They should aim to make their teaching an exciting experience for students and to engage them in a wide range of activities which enhance their understanding and commitment.

About Our College
At Worcester Sixth Form College, we are specialists in the education of 16-19 year olds and our staff are experts in meeting the needs of this age group. Every year we admit 900 or so students from the whole county of Worcestershire and from surrounding areas. This enables us to offer an exceptionally wide range of courses and flexible programmes in which any course can be combined with virtually any other course. Our students are highly successful, not just academically, but in many other kinds of endeavour, including sports, performing arts, music, Duke of Edinburgh, charity fund raising and a wide variety of other extra-curricular areas.
