Biology Research Presentation

Thank you to Dr Susanna Prankel, Principal Lecturer in Biology, and Dr Steven J Coles, Course Lead for Biological Sciences, from the University of Worcester who gave kindly of their time to sit on a judging panel as our first year A Level Biologists presented their research projects. The University generously donated a voucher to the winners along with a place on a summer course in Gas Chromatography.

Students were also able to benefit from finding out about the Biomedical and Biology courses available at degree level.

Following high quality presentations, the winners selected were Bethany, Fatima and Selina.

Dr Prankel and Dr Cole said: “We were very impressed with the students’ courage, enthusiasm, research and ability to answer questions. Awarding just one prize was a difficult decision as there were so many strengths on display. It is fantastic that the students were given this opportunity to engage in data handling and research and it is evident that they learnt a lot as part of the process. We wish the students all the best and it would be great to see them again on their journey.”
