Julie Ferman joins Panel at UoW Learning and Teaching Conference
The theme for this year’s Learning and Teaching Conference at University of Worcester was Learning in Partnership and projects across themes related to student engagement, student transitions, and excellence in teaching were the focus of discussion. Julie Ferman, Head of Year, attended a ‘world café’ session with teaching staff from the university where she was able to explore through discussion ideas linked to a number of key themes for learning and teaching at Worcester, including student transition to university, applied teaching and the role of the pastoral and academic tutor (PAT). Later that afternoon she was asked to be on a panel chaired by the Pro Vice Chancellor Students, Ross Renton, along with employers and community representatives. They talked about what working in partnership means particularly for student progression, employability, community engagement and success and taking questions from the floor.
