Mock Election

/, Politics/Mock Election

Following on from our Hustings event, students took the opportunity to learn about and participate in a democratic moment as they went to the polls in the College’s mock election on Thursday, 12th December. Many thanks to all the students (and staff) who voted and particularly to those students who ran the ballot.

The result was as follows:

Lynn Denham (Labour party) 172 votes (59.9%)

Robin Walker (Conservative party) 53 votes  (18.5%)

Stephen Kearney (Liberal Democrats) 38 votes (13.2%)

Louis Stephen (Green Party) 20 votes (7%)

Martin Potter (Independent) 4 votes (1.4%)
