Worcester Sixth Form College students excel in national Maths challenge

Congratulations to second year students Will Wright and Harry Senior who have progressed to the Maths Olympiad (BMO1) after exceptional individual performances in the Senior Maths Challenge.

The UK Mathematics Trust receives over 600,000 entries across the Junior, Intermediate and Senior challenges each year and only the top 1,000 candidates are invited to take part in the Olympiad which will involve Will and Harry sitting a three and a half hour paper on Friday, 30th November.

In addition to this success, 5 students received a gold award and qualified for the Kangaroo Challenge (Fraser McDougall, Owen Williams, Alison Sprague, Ben Lawrence and Finley Lofters), 7 achieved silver and 7 bronze certificates.

Good luck to Will and Harry in the Olympiad and to those participating in the Kangaroo stage of the competition.
