Celebrating Results Success

RESULTS 2026

Worcester Sixth Form College is celebrating another year of strong student achievement as students receive their examination results, whilst also marking an important milestone in the College’s history with the transition to new leadership.

Students have once again achieved excellent outcomes across A Levels, Applied General qualifications and T Levels, reflecting the dedication, hard work and resilience of students, alongside the commitment and expertise of College staff. Worcester Sixth Form College students have achieved 115 A* grades amongst over 750 A*, A and B grades. The College’s A Level pass rate of 98% (grades A*-E) is above the national rate for the twenty-second year running.
Our broad curriculum offering means that our students are also celebrating success in Applied courses with 41.4% achieving the top grades (Distinction*/Distinction) with a pass rate of 99.3% and T Level success with 100% pass rate and 36% achieving Distinctions.
This year’s results continue Worcester Sixth Form College’s proud tradition of academic success and progression, with students securing places at leading universities, higher and degree apprenticeships and a wide range of employment opportunities.

As he prepares to leave the College after a successful period as Principal, Ed Senior reflected on both the achievements of this year’s students and the strength of the College as he hands over to his successor: “I am incredibly proud of the achievements of all our students and hope that they enjoy celebrating their success with family and friends. These results represent hard work, determination and commitment from our students, supported every step of the way by dedicated staff and supportive families.

As well as their academic achievements, I am proud of the way our students have grown as individuals during their time with us. They have taken full advantage of opportunities both inside and outside the classroom, developed confidence and independence, and are exceptionally well prepared for their next steps whether that be university, apprenticeships or employment.

It has been a privilege to have been the Principal of Worcester Sixth Form College. The College has a long-standing reputation for excellence and I am delighted to be leaving it in a strong position for the future. We have an outstanding team of staff, ambitious students, strong partnerships and exciting plans for the future. I have every confidence that the College will continue to thrive with Jane Jenkins as Principal who has demonstrated fantastic leadership as Vice Principal over the last 5 years.”

Jane said: “It is with great excitement and pride that I will be the Principal of Worcester Sixth Form College at such a positive time in its history. These excellent results are a testament to the hard work of our students and staff and demonstrate the high standards that are at the heart of everything we do. I am honoured that I will be leading such a dedicated team of staff who are committed to providing outstanding education, support and opportunities for all students so that they develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to thrive both at College and beyond.”

The College’s governors have thanked Ed Senior for his outstanding leadership and contribution to Worcester Sixth Form College and have welcomed the incoming Principal as the College enters a new phase of development and growth.
