The College became an academy and joined the Heart of Mercia Multi-Academy Trust in April 2019. Worcester Sixth Form College and Hereford Sixth Form College are managed by this trust, the Heart of Mercia Trust.

The Heart of Mercia MAT
The MAT governing structure and its aims and responsibilities are detailed in its Governance Procedures. Any relevant business and pecuniary interests of senior staff and of Trustees are declared annually.
Worcester Sixth Form College Local Governing Body
The College's Local Governing Body comprises of twenty independent governors from a wide variety of professional, business and community organisation backgrounds including staff, student and parent governors. The Local Governing Body is collectively responsible for overseeing the College's strategic aims and values and ensure that its obligations to its stakeholders and others are met and understood.
We would like to build a database of people interested in becoming governors when vacancies arise - if you are interested we would like to hear from you. The role of a governor is voluntary and involves attendance at approximately four Local Governing Body meetings a year plus attendance at one Committee. Meetings of the Local Governing Body and its committees are held each term in the evenings with occasional daytime attendance at College events. Wendy is the Clerk to the Governing Body and School Administrator at Broadwas CE VA Primary School. She was appointed as Parent Governor in March 2020 and is a member of the Curriculum and Quality Committee.
Sheena is the Historic Environment Record Officer at Worcester City Council and Chair of the Council for British Archaeology West Midlands. She was appointed as Parent Governor in 2017 and is a member of the Curriculum and Quality Committee.
Sean, former Principal of Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College, joined the Governing Body in 2017 and is a member of the Curriculum and Quality Committee. Sean is the designated Safeguarding Governor.
Rubia is a second year student studying a A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and English Literature. She was appointed as a Student Governor in December 2019 and is a member of the Curriculum and Quality Committee. Rubia is also a member of the College's Student Council.
Phil, a former Project Manager, is the Chairman of Worcester Civic society and a Trustee and Vice Chair of Civic Voice the national body for Civic Societies in England. Phil joined the Governing Body in 2017 and is a member of the Finance and Resources Committee.
Paul is the Managing Director of Woodbury Accounting Limited. He joined the Governing Body in 2017 and is a member of the Finance and Resources Committee.
Ms Gill Slater – Chair of the Governing Body
A member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Gill is the Director of Personal and Organisational Development at the University of Worcester. Gill joined the Governing body in 2010, has been Chair since January 2017 and is a member of the Finance and Resources Committee.
Matthew is an Architect at DJD Architects in Worcester. He joined the Governing Body in 2017 and is a member of the Finance and Resources Committee.
Lucy is a first year student studying a A Levels in Biology, Environmental Science and Law. She was appointed as a Student Governor in November 2020 and is a member of the Curriculum and Quality Committee. Lucy is also enrolled on the College's Ambition Programme.
Joe is the Curriculum Manager and Head of KS3 English at a county middle school. Joe joined the Local Governing Body in November 2020 and is a member of the Curriculum and Quality Committee.
A Staff Governor, Emma is the Assistant Learning Support Manager. Emma was appointed to the Local Governing Body in December 2019 and is a member of the Curriculum and Quality Committee.
Edward Senior – College Principal
The College Principal, appointed in 2018, is an ex officio member of the Governing body.
Cherry, Finance Director at DPD, joined the Governing Body in 2019 and is a member of the Finance and Resources Committee.
Cathy is a former teacher of A Level Music and has previously been a violinist with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. She was appointed as Parent Governor in 2019 and is a member of the Curriculum and Quality Committee.
A Staff Governor, Alex is a member of the IT Support team. Alex was appointed to the Governing Body in February 2019 and is a member of the Curriculum and Quality Committee.
Abi, Change Accountant at ReAssure in Telford, joined the Governing Body in 2018 and is a member of the Finance and Resources Committee.
