Worcester Sixth Form College Local Governing Body

The College's Local Governing Body comprises of twenty independent governors from a wide variety of professional, business and community organisation backgrounds including staff, student and parent governors. The Local Governing Body is collectively responsible for overseeing the College's strategic aims and values and ensure that its obligations to its stakeholders and others are met and understood.

We would like to build a database of people interested in becoming governors when vacancies arise - if you are interested we would like to hear from you. The role of a governor is voluntary and involves attendance at approximately four Local Governing Body meetings a year plus attendance at one Committee. Meetings of the Local Governing Body and its committees are held each term in the evenings with occasional daytime attendance at College events. If you are interested in becoming a governor we would like to hear from you. Please see the General information page for more information and application form.
