College Philosphers Inspired by University
Thank you to Becky and Stellah from the University of Worcester for delivering a lesson to first year Philosophy, Ethics and Religion students today. Becky is the PGCE lead for Religion at the University. The aim of the visit was to encourage students to aim at university study and to outline some of the differences.
Students considered the ethical issue of whether a fetus is a person in an active and engaging lesson. Sally Johnson, Head of Philosophy, Ethics and Religion, said: “It was a great opportunity for students to experience a university style lesson. They were reflective and provided thought provoking responses to the issue raised. Thank you to Becky and Stellah for their time.”
