Worcester Sixth Form College Geologists reach National Final of Schools Geology Challenge

Congratulations to second year Geology students who competed in the regional heat of the Schools Geology Challenge run by the Geological Society and won!

Students were marked in the geological technical content of a poster on ‘Carbon- the good, the bad and the ugly’ and a 6 minute presentation of the topic. They then completed a 50 mark quiz testing their general geology knowledge. They were fantastic and scored 41/50! The posters and presentation were judged and scored 85% and 79% so they did a great job!

They now head off to the Headquarters of the Geological Society at Burlington House, Piccadilly, London on 28th March for the national finals. Good luck!
